I heard to come here and just talk about my experience with alcoholism and what I did to get through it finally.
I did a little online counseling and that sorta helps but really it was about filling my time with other things. I know it sounds simple but it took me 20 plus years. I guess you just have to be ready.
I did have a minor incident and that got me started and my life at home just continued to get better.
I went out every day for a walk to start. Listened to music and eventually walking faster each day.
In the evening I did some planting and weeding my little garden and listening to music while doing it.
I know this may not be the answer for everyone but to each their own for things they like to do.
No magic to it but I now have an addiction to weeding and planting and my walking went from around the block to 5 k and I’ve never felt better.
Replace the bad with the good is all I’m saying and it works for me and I’m sure you as well .
