This will be my first Christmas alone since my husband passed. It has been a difficult year and now that the holidays are here I know how loneliness feels. I have been to the mall just to get out of the house and see all the decorations and stores but I have no family to shop for. My only child passed 3 years ago and then her dad who never got over it passed. This is not the life I had planned and now I just wonder around trying to feel something. I came here is guess to see if there is anyone who deals with the same type of situation and would like to talk a little. I hope to meet someone to share a little time.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and your child. it is only natural for you to feel lonely this time of year and I’m wondering if you are in a position to possibly volunteer to the Christmas cheer fund, Salvation Army kettle or a local church that may need some assistance over the holidays. Sometimes helping others can also help you feel less lonely

- Hi thank you for the message. It’s so nice to see someone care. I’m trying to help the kettle campaign and have offered up a few times that I could and just waiting for a reply. My husband was a big supporter of the Salvation Army. I feel better right now just knowing someone read and replied to my message. Thank you so much for making me feel a little less lonely.

I’m glad my message helped you feel a little less lonely. I hope you heard back from the Salvation Army and that spending time at the kettle brightens your day. -

Thank you so much and today I feel ok and I did help with some decorations at my church that I don’t generally attend but intent to visit often. I met some people from years ago and they invited me to dinner and it was nice to not think about things and just enjoy a little time. I did receive a basket from the person who runs this site and he has been helping me. I’m very grateful for your messages and your thoughtfulness. It has given me hope ❤️

I am so happy to hear that you connected with some old friends through your church And hopefully that made your Christmas less lonely.
It does not surprise me that Clint reached out to you and provided a Christmas basket, I’m hoping that brought you a smile and a little joy
